New Zealand Elected To International Council Of Monuments An

ICOMOS New Zealand is delighted to announce the election
of Dr. Stacy Vallis to the Board of the International
Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS). The election
occurred during the 20th General Assembly of ICOMOS. It is
the first time that New Zealand has nominated a candidate
for election, and we will be represented on the
International Board of ICOMOS for a three-year
term.
ICOMOS is a non-governmental, professional
organisation based in Paris, France, dedicated to the
conservation of cultural heritage places. Founded in 1965,
ICOMOS is one of three advisory bodies to UNESCO for the
implementation of the World Heritage Convention
