(MENAFN) Turkeyâs statistical authority said Friday that the national industrial production index posted a 1.3-percent rise in December, as compared to Novemberâs figures, whereas the increase reached 9 percent on an annual basis. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said in a statement that saw the highest annual rise among industrial sub-sectors was registered the manufacturing index which saw a jump by 9.5 percent. Meanwhile, the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index rose by 4.9 percent, while the mining and quarrying index rose 6 percent during the same period. During the last quarter of 2020, calendar-adjusted industrial production went up 10.1 percent compared with the previous year's same quarter.
