NMC seeks views on whether nurse education should change in wake of Brexit

Nurses and midwives are being asked to share their views on whether changes should be made to the way education courses are delivered, following the UK’s exit from the European Union (EU).
The Nursing and Midwifery Council has launched a new survey to uncover the thoughts of professionals, the public and partners across the UK on its current pre-registration education programme standards.
“We encourage anyone who wants to contribute to respond to our survey and we plan to report back on our findings later this year”
Matthew McClelland
The NMC’s programme standards cover how courses should be delivered to ensure students get the appropriate education, including the number of theory and practice hours, entry requirements, length of programme and methods of assessment.
