On Tuesday Conwy county council’s cabinet unanimously approved moving Llanrwst’s library from it’s current site at the old court building to the vacant former business centre at Glasdir in the town. The current library needs roof repairs estimated at around £90,000, while refitting and preparing the more modern Glasdir building will cost four times the amount. Conwy hopes £250,000 of it will come from a Welsh Government regeneration grant, already agreed verbally said the report shared with councillors, with Conwy picking up the rest of the bill.
