Minnesota Department of Health recorded 19 new deaths during the 24-hour period 11:10 am, Jan. 30, 2021 × REGIONAL — The number of new COVID-19 cases in the area was once again low Saturday, with Nobles County recording two new positive tests according to the latest update from the Minnesota Department of Health. Cottonwood, Jackson and Murray counties also had two new cases each, and Pipestone County reported one new case during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Friday. Rock County had no new cases. The state’s cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases now stands at 460,819 (positive and antigen tests), with 444,782 beyond the 10-day isolation period. Thus far, 36,375 Minnesota health care workers have contracted the virus.
