A map of the North Devon Biosphere - Credit: North Devon Biosphere Work being undertaken by the North Devon Biosphere Foundation has been given a funding injection from North Devon and Torridge Councils. At a meeting of North Devon Council's Strategy and Resources Committee last month, councillors agreed to use £20,000 to support the further development of the Biosphere's projects. This decision was made in support of the council's corporate priorities to cherish and protect the environment and plan for North Devon's future. Torridge District Council has also voted through funding of £18,000 in line with a key theme in their Strategic Plan; 'Our Environment Our Future', which aims to reduce the eco-footprint of the district to meet the council's carbon-neutral target of 2030.
