(WMBF) - North Myrtle Beach city leaders took a big step to make sure the city is fully prepared for a busy Memorial Day holiday. Councilmembers approved a resolution to keep more law enforcement boots on the ground during the holiday week. Pat Dowling, the city’s spokesperson, said there aren’t enough police officers to handle additional tourist traffic during the Memorial Day holiday. The resolution will provide the additional holiday backup the city needs.
