The deadly shooting occurred early this morning on the Red Lake Indian Reservation. A preliminary report from the FBI indicates Red Lake Police Department officers were responding to a call at a residence when one of the officers was fatally shot. An earlier report indicated the deadly incident occurred near Redby, which is about 25 miles north of Bemidji.
