The lockdown was set to end at midnight this Friday, but with the super infectious Delta COVID-19 strain still spreading, lockdown ending seemed unlikely and ABC has confirmed that the rumours are, indeed, true. The NSW government’s Crisis Cabinet Committee put their foot down on the matter yesterday after sitting through “extensive meetings” to determine what was best for the state amid the latest COVID crisis.
