The alert highlighted "potential dangers" associated with synthetic hallucinogenic recreational drug, 25C-NBOMe. Several people have been hospitalised in Sydney in the past week after taking the substance. NSW Health reported the synthetic drug had prompted rapid and severe adverse effects in people who had taken it.
