[Photo provided to China Daily] With the rapid growth of mobile payments in China, the number of automatic teller machines or ATMs shrank by more than 80,000 in the whole year of 2020, Beijing Business Today reported on Friday. Last year, the number of ATMs per 10,000 people nationwide was also reduced to 7.24, down from 7.87 in 2019. Statistics show Bank of China had 33,300 ATMs at the end of 2020, down 10.76 percent from 37,300 at the end of 2019.
