Number of coronavirus cases in East Lothian slowly rising

THE number of positive cases of coronavirus in East Lothian is slowly increasing, with 29 recorded in the last week, according to Public Health Scotland’s latest data.
The figures are for May 24 to 31 and mean the county’s seven-day positive rate per 100,000 people is currently 27.1.
There are also concerns about a spike in cases in Dunbar, with 11 of the 29 cases being recorded in the town. Among these are confirmed cases at Dunbar Primary School.
Dunbar East, which covers Spott Road and the town’s train station, recorded three positive cases, giving it a seven-day positive rate per 100,000 people of 64.4.
