In another sign of the return of normality, they're also dealing with a multitude of weekend service changes. Riders are returning to the rails in record numbers – on April 8 more than 2 million paid trips were made. That's more than on any day in the past year. But getting around this weekend is still going to be tough with 8 lines disrupted in the name of "upgrading and maintaining our tracks, stations and signal systems in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service."
