December 22, 2020 Orange City, Iowa — An Orange City man who was charged with Attempted Murder following an April 28th knife attack, has been sentenced to 29-years in prison. The case against 28-year-old Arturo Tapia, of Orange City stemmed from an incident on April 28th of this year, when he used a knife to stab a female twelve times, in front of her children, at an Orange City residence, according to Sioux County Attorney Thomas Kunstle. Kunstle says Tapia was, himself, separately stabbed once which stopped the assault. According to authorities, after the attack, Tapia fled the residence, leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase before crashing near Boyden.
