KESHENA - A Green Bay man died in a one-vehicle crash that was discovered on May 3, according to a Menominee County Sheriff’s Department report released Thursday morning.
The driver, James B. Stewart, 60, had been involved in a hit-and-run crash in the northern Oconto County town of Doty before traveling to Menominee County, according to an Oconto County Sheriff’s report.
The fatal crash was discovered on State 55 about a third of a mile north of Bear Trap Halls Road, approximately five miles north of Keshena, by a Menominee Tribal Police officer about 5:47 a.m.
It appeared the southbound SUV went off the road and struck a large tree. Stewart died at the scene.
