The Oklahoma City-County Health Department is teaming up with several community partners to make 10,000 doses of all three COVID-19 vaccines available Wednesday at the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds.If you've been waiting or selective with which vaccine you want, you are able to sign up for the event Wednesday and come out to the State Fair Park and get vaccinated. People can choose from Pfizer, Moderna or the Johnson & Johnson, also known as a Janssen vaccine.Officials urge people to sign up before they arrive. CLICK HERE to sign up now!OCCHD officials have seen a high demand the J&J vaccine, so 5,000 doses are available, with 2,500 Moderna doses and 2,500 Pfizer doses offered as well. If you are 16 and older, you can get the Pfizer vaccine with a parent or guardian on-site to give consent.If you are 18 and older, you can get the other two vaccines. Remember to bring your ID the site.While these vaccine pods are convenient, we spoke to health officials about why fewer people might be signing up."Private providers have the opportunity as long as they signed up as a pandemic provider. When we get it in their hand we create more of a personal interaction and we know a lot of people choose to get vaccinated in that setting versus a public type of setting,” said Keith Reed, Oklahoma State Department of Health Deputy Commissioner of Health.
