High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season 2 is on the horizon, hitting Disney+ on May 14, and to stoke the flames of onscreen relationship drama, the show just released a new duet by stars Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett. The duet takes place via voicemail as their characters, Nini and Ricky, serenade one another on Valentine's Day from their respective locations. Nini is at drama school in Colorado, and though the two did officially get back together at the end of season one, it seems as though distance may be taking its toll on the couple. Their duet, "Even When/The Best Part" is played by Olivia on ukulele and Joshua on guitar, and each character sings it to the other's voicemail. The songs are different, but they fit together beautifully â as do Olivia and Joshua's voices!
