Rogan starts off with what should arguably be the easiest part of the challenge; the swim, consisting of 10 x 50-yard laps, which he completes in 5:49. The minimum required time is 12:30, and 8:00 is considered a "competitive" score, so he's off to a flying start.
The second round is 2 minutes of pushups, with 50 reps needed to pass. Rogan ends up beating Alexander here, completing 83 reps to Alexander's 69. Following a 2-minute rest, they move onto the third test: situps, which has the same minimum of 50 reps in 2 minutes for a passing score. Rogan passes this round too, with 73 situps.
The fourth event is pullups, with an overhand grip. There is no time limit on this portion of the test, Rogan must perform his reps to failure. This is the first time that Rogan really struggles, and he is only able to complete 9 pullups, one rep short of the minimum score.
