On Wednesday it was announced that Omaha has been designated a "key pilot site" for catastrophic disease-response services of the National Disaster Medical System.
As such, Omaha was chosen to enhance, develop and expand catastrophic disease-response services of the National Disaster Medical System.Sign up for our Newsletters
The pilot is part of the Nebraska Medical Center’s ongoing “Project NExT” initiative, a project designed to “propel the medical center campus and the state of Nebraska to even higher levels of clinical care, education and research."
Project NExT is expected to bring $2 billion to the local economy and provide 8,700 permanent jobs.
