Oman takes part in Tourism Recovery Summit Published: 8:59 PM, May 26, 2021 8 SHARE MUSCAT: Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, is taking part in the Tourism Recovery Summit, which opened in Riyadh on Wednesday alongside the formal inauguration of the Middle East Regional Office of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). The two-day summit has been organised by the UNWTO Committee for the Middle East. Oman’s delegation is led by Salim bin Mohammed al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism. Taking part in the summit are the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization and the ministers of tourism in the Middle East representing Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.
