On St. Patrick's Day last year, the flow of green beer was cut short. Painfully short. On March 17 2020, Gov. Ron DeSantis issued an executive order that closed all bars, breweries and nightclubs at 5 p.m. It was the first of two closures that would devastate the industry, plummeting sales numbers to depths bars have still not yet recovered from. But just because they couldn't party last year doesn't mean all Irish pubs are ready to break out the shamrocks and kegs for 2021. "We're not doing anything to attract, you know, a large crowd," said Robert Snow, who oversees the PaddyWagon locations in Lakeland and Winter Haven. "We don't feel comfortable with, you know, doing a big thing out in the parking lot like we usually do and outside sales and all that."
