Open-access wireless internet now available at 10 Milwaukee parks


MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett announced ten parks adjacent to City buildings are offering open-access wireless internet from 5 a.m. – 9 p.m. in underserved communities across the city.

According to a news release, the project, at a cost of more than $100,000, was funded by CARES Act dollars and is a partnership between the City’s Information Technology Management Division and other city agencies.
Mayor Barrett shared more on the announcement at a news conference Thursday, April 29.
