The process of transfer by BP Exploration (ShahDeniz) Limited of the technical operator of the South Caucasus Pipeline Trunk Line (SCTM) to SOCAR Midstream Operations, which started on 20 March 2020, was successfully completed on 1 August 2021. ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) that this pipeline is one of the four segments of the Southern Gas Corridor intended for the export of natural gas from Azerbaijan through the territory of Georgia to Turkey and Europe. According to SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev, after 6 years of successful commercial operation of SCTM, SOCAR will undertake the technical operation of this gas pipeline. This is another great achievement of SOCAR in managing the international gas pipeline.
