Dave Workman and Dominick Lijoi Guest Columnists In the recent Easter season, Christians around the world celebrated the life, the death and — most importantly — the resurrection of Jesus Christ. With the celebration is the realization for each Christian that mercy is possible because Jesus took upon himself the judgment that was due us all. Love and mercy were the Lord’s motivators. He fulfilled the penalty for sin and demonstrated His love for the world in one selfless and miraculous act. As we reflect on the immigration predicaments in our county, and particularly the plight of approximately 11 million people in the country who reside here unlawfully, we believe that mercy should be at the heart of whatever we choose to do.
