Optimist Hill reopens in Saskatoon with COVID-19 rules in place

Saskatoon’s Optimist Hill is open for the season.
The ski, snowboard and tubing areas at the site, located in Diefenbaker Park, reopened at 4 p.m. Friday, according to a media release from Optimist Hill management. The terrain park remains closed.

The release cautioned that things will be a bit different this season than in the past, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The hill will operate on a first come, first served basis under a provincially mandated maximum capacity of 150 people. Observers are also barred this year, meaning everyone in the park must have a lift pass.
