Oregon moves into coldest weather of winter, but will it snow in the Willamette Valley?

The dreaded snowflake has started to appear on many Oregonians' phones as the weather turns legitimately cold for the first time this winter. 
The chill isn't anything noteworthy, with temperatures only dropping into the low 30s in the Willamette Valley over the coming week, but that does bring the potential for low-elevation snow, triggering the aforementioned snowflake on your iPhone. 
In general, say meteorologists, snow in the valleys is unlikely over the weekend, but appears possible Monday and Tuesday, and then multiple times over next week.
