David Madden Photography Outdoor sports facilities and open-air swimming pools will reopen in Greenwich in just two weeks after work to make the facilities Covid-safe. March 29 is the date when, in line with government guidelines, people can start meeting up outside once again, and outdoor facilities across the country are allowed to reopen. And Greenwich Council have been working with social enterprise Better, which operates the borough's leisure activities on the council's behalf, to plan the safe reopening of a number of exciting sites. Better is the trading name of Greenwich Leisure limited, a charitable social enterprise. Cllr Adel Khaireh, Cabinet Member for Culture, Communities and Equalities, said: “Our leisure centres are valuable community assets and play a central role in supporting the wellbeing of our residents, and they're more important than ever after a prolonged period at home.
