Heavy vehicles can now reach ports in Tiruvallur district without entering city Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Monday inaugurated phase II of the Chennai Outer Ring Road (CORR) connecting Nemilichery on NH 205 and Minjur on the Tiruvottiyur-Ponneri-Panchetty Road built at a cost of ₹1,075 crore. The 30.50-km stretch of the six-lane road is access-controlled with service roads on either side. With this, heavy vehicles can reach ports in Tiruvallur district without having to enter the city.
