Over 50s across North Wales to receive vaccine invitations from next week Those in the remaining top priority groups are to start receiving invitations for their coronavirus vaccinations. Over 317,000 vaccines – 259,918 first doses and 57,475 second doses – have already been administered across North Wales since the rollout began in early December. Last week saw Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board receive a higher number of vaccines, with more doses administered by GPs. This week the health board will receive 54,240 vaccines (18,720 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and 35,520 doses of AstraZeneca), which is a decrease on last week. So far those in groups one to six have either been vaccinated or are having appointment booked, however Gill Harris, deputy chief executive the health board, has confirmed the timeline for when those aged over 50 and in the remaining top priority groups will be contacted ahead of the next vaccination milestone in mid-April.
