There's been some leadership changes at Oxnard's public works department. Public Works Director Rosemarie Gaglione, who came to the city in 2018, has left and is headed to Marin County. On Thursday, Marin County announced that Gaglione will be its new public works director, heading a department of 250 employees and a $64 million budget. Marin County Board of Supervisors was expected to vote on the appointment of Gaglione on Tuesday. Her last day with Oxnard was Friday. In the meantime, Craig Beck, who retired as the Long Beach public works director last year, will serve as the interim public works director for Oxnard until a permanent appointment is made. Oxnard City Manager Alex Nguyen said he will conduct a nationwide search to head public works.
