26 Jun 2021 - 13:32 PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Sticking to its stance, Pakistan has once again ruled out allowing the US to use its bases against Afghanistan. President Dr Arif Alvi claimed Pakistan was making sincere efforts to promote peace and stability in the neighbouring country. A peaceful and stable Afghanistan would greatly benefit his country, the president informed military officers from a dozen foreign countries. The officers are currently undergoing the National Security Workshop Course at the National Defence University, according to APP. Pakistan’s armed forces and law-enforcement agencies had successfully defeated the scourge of terrorism, the president said. He added Pakistan had lost over 70,000 people, besides suffering economic setbacks to the tune of around $150 billion.
