Hate crime charge filed after Black FedEx driver threatened December 22 2020 The Washington County Sheriff's Office said the man made racial slurs against the FedEx driver. An Aloha man was arrested Sunday afternoon, Dec. 20, in what the Washington County Sheriff's Office is investigating as a hate crime involving a driver delivering packages in his neighborhood. Rodney Kirk Bryant, 68, faces charges of first-degree bias crime, unlawful use of a weapon and menacing. Deputies say Bryant came out of his house and stood in the street, blocking the way of a FedEx vehicle delivering packages in the area of Southwest Cascadia Court and 188th Avenue just before 1 p.m. Sunday.
