Willamette Meteorite restored after vandals paint it gold The bronze copy in West Linn's Fields Bridge Park had been spray-painted gold After being spray-painted gold in the past week, the replica of the Willamette Meteorite in Fields Bridge Park has been restored to its original color (though a few small spots of gold remain). The one-fifth-scale bronze replica of the actual Willamette Meteorite, which currently is displayed at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, is the centerpiece of the Ice Age Floods Interpretive Trail along the Tualatin River at Fields Bridge. Parks and Recreation Director Ken Warner said the parks department filed a report with the West Linn Police Department, as it does with all cases of vandalism in parks.
