Claim it is unfair to pupils securing merit-based seats.
While tthe
online admission process for
Class XI students in the state is still going on, Maharashtra education department has announced that the admissions for the remaining seats will be done on a first-come-first-serve (FCFS) basis, adding that it would be the final chance for students to secure their admission.
Confirming the developments,
FCFS mode will be announced soon.
Miffed with the announcements, parents’ organisations have written to the school education department, urging it to revoke the decision. Citing that the move does not justify the admission process, parents are of the opinion that giving preference to the FCFS method would discredit merit and do grave injustice to students who are yet to bag admission and even those who have completed the process.
