Parma Heights passes zoning code updates, creates three economic development districts

PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio — Roughly a year in the making, Parma Heights City Council last week approved numerous ordinances that as a whole updated the city’s zoning codes providing clearly defined boundaries for commercial and residential development.
“It was truly a team effort spearheaded by Law Director Mike Pokorny and Service Director Dennis Patton working with Kris Hopkins from CT Consultants,” Parma Heights Mayor Michael P. Byrne said. “They took input, suggestions from both planning commission members, as well as council members to tweak the ordinances.
