PARMA, Ohio — Considering the emotional drain of 2020 going into 2021, city leaders in Parma are hoping residents extend their holiday cheer just a little bit longer.
Last night (Dec. 30), Parma City Council passed a resolution encouraging residents to keep their holiday lights on through the end of February to show support for healthcare workers and first responders.
“Not only do I have a pretty large display but on Keystone Road there are arches and synchronized lighting to music,” said Ward 9 Councilman Roy J. Jech, who spearheaded the resolution. “So many people come through there I thought it would be nice to see the lights for another month or two.
