Parry Sound DSSAB initiates pilot hotel project to help home

Tammy MacKenzie, the CAO of the District of Parry Sound Social Services Administration Board, says a pilot project to rent hotel rooms for the homeless is more than just making sure this vulnerable group of people have a roof over their heads.  MacKenzie says it's also about building up their self-worth, confidence and self esteem by showing kindness.

A homeless prevention program in Parry Sound District is showing early signs of success.
The District of Parry Sound Social Services Administration Board (DSSAB) started the one-year pilot project in January.
