Penarth son's mission to help team that battled mum's cancer

A MAN from Penarth is running the equivalent of Mount Everest in his hometown to raise money for the team which helped his mother in her battle against cancer.
James Joseph, a 26-year-old musician, said he decided he would run up and down Custom Hill [near Custom House at the barrage] ten times a day throughout January.
Nearly there, Mr Joseph requires a final push over the next couple of days to reach his goal of 340 hill climbs and descents – which, according to his calculations, amounts to the height of Everest.
He says he is doing it for his mum Clare Evans, who is now in remission following a two-year battle with breast cancer, and the team who looked after her at the Cardiff and Vale Breast Ward at University Hospital Llandough.
