STATE COLLEGE — The Penn State men’s volleyball team begins its NCAA Tournament run Monday evening against Belmont Abbey.
The Lions (21-3) enter the national tournament as the No. 6 seed after winning both the EIVA regular-season and EIVA tournament titles. Penn State has won 15 of its past 16 matches, and the Lions have dropped only six sets in that stretch. They’re in the tournament for the 32nd time in their history.
The No. 7-seed Crusaders (15-7), meanwhile, are making their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance after winning the Conference Carolinas title.
