A rowhome caught fire in the 1800 block of A Street Southeast in Washington, D.C., on May 12, 2021.
One person is in critical condition, a firefighter has minor injuries and six people were displaced after a two-alarm fire at a rowhouse Wednesday that spread to neighboring homes, authorities say.
D.C. Fire and EMS says a home caught fire in the 1800 block of A Street in Southeast, near the Stadium-Armory Metro station.
Firefighters were called about 4 a.m. and arrived two minutes later, Deputy Fire Chief Michael Knight said. The first and second floors caught fire. Photos show black smoke pouring from top-floor windows.
