Photo: ANDINA/Renato Pajuelo 13:00 | Lima, Mar. 13. The Peruvian Executive Branch established new regulations linked to the state of national emergency against COVID-19. According to Supreme Decree No. 046-2021-PCM, these measures —to be in force from March 15 to 28— include a new classification in line with the alert level related to COVID-19. In this sense, the provinces under extreme risk are: Abancay (Apurimac region); Caylloma (Arequipa region); Huaraz and Casma (Ancash region); Huamanga, Cangallo, and La Mar (Ayacucho region); as well as Cajamarca and Cajabamba (Cajamarca region). The list also includes Cusco and La Convencion (Cusco region); Chincha and Pisco (Ica region); Jauja, Chupaca, and Chanchamayo (Junin region); Lambayeque (Lambayeque region); Trujillo (La Libertad region); Barranca, Huaral, and Huaura (Lima region); Maynas (Loreto region); Tambopata (Madre de Dios region); Mariscal Nieto (Moquegua region); Tacna (Tacna region); Coronel Portillo (Ucayali region); and Callao (Callao region).
