Written by Andrew-Rossi on December 15, 2020 Construction season ends on Sheridan Avenue as the colder temperatures and snowy weather of the winter season settles into Cody. Phase 2 of the Sheridan Avenue rehabilitation project concludes due to the persistent winter weather currently enveloping Cody. In the last weekly update of 2020, WYDOT and primary contractor S&S Builders of Gillette announced that all the construction equipment and traffic controls were removed Monday and will not be back in place for several months. This means that normal traffic patterns and speed limits return throughout the construction zone, which by conclusion had gotten a little further than anticipated. The milder weather of early December gave construction crews a chance to get a head start on next spring’s work, moving past the Phase 2 endpoint at Alger Avenue and moving up Greybull Hill.
