Saturday evenings are stellar this summer at the Jack C. Davis Observatory of Western Nevada College. A series of free slide lectures will be offered through August 23. Doors open at 7 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. lectures. On Saturday, July 26, John Dykes, a resident photographer, presents a lecture about the art of astrophotography.
