01/9Why Lohegaon residents want boats as a mode of local transport
Thunder, heavy rain along with lightning has again been predicted in Pune till October 22 by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Heavy and incessant rainfall in Pune last week has resulted in waterlogging in various parts of the city and people have still not come out of the aftermath of the deluge. Lohegaon-Wagholi Road, which is one of the most severely affected areas in the city, was also flooded even after a few days, not even an inch of the water level has reduced on the stretch leading towards Wagholi, Viman Nagar and Ahmednagar highway, indicating a much deeper infrastructural issue being the cause of the mayhem.
