Updated: 1:09 PM EST Feb 4, 2021 Authorities in North Carolina said they found a wanted man hiding in a false bottom in the floor of a home and had to remove a wall to get him out. Dustin Diehl was found Thursday morning at a home in Denton. Police said Diehl was wanted for assault and had also led authorities on multiple chases. Click the video player above to hear a woman and child's experience spotting Diehl on their front porch.Officials said they had been keeping an eye on the location where they found Diehl until they were ready to evacuate a woman and a child from the home. Authorities said Diehl was found in a false bottom in the house and law enforcement said they had to take out a wall to take him into custody.Cassandra Harrison is facing charges for harboring a fugitive and resisting, obstructing and delaying an officer, law enforcement said. She has a $50,000 bond.The Department of Social Services is also investigating the incident since the child was in the home while the fugitive was allegedly being harbored, Davidson County Sheriff Capt. Mike Burns said.
