6 Apr 2021, 08:49 Construction work on a £5m Hindu temple in Oldham has reached a milestone with the completion of its foundations and steel frame and the start of external brickwork. Cladding and roofing work is due to begin soon as the project nears the halfway stage. The Shree Swaminarayan Temple on Copsterhill Road is due for completion in 2022. Recom Solutions, based at Trafford Park, is the main contractor for the scheme. Subcontractors include BIAD Civils for groundworks, TW Fabrications for steelworks, McCrory Brickwork, Primeseal Roofing, Spectrum Building Envelopes & Facades and PCS for glass-reinforced concrete. The temple is being built on the site of a former housing association depot.
