Neil Tague Following the withdrawal of plans refused in September for 1,100 homes and a new link road on land at Pickering’s Farm, the housebuilder said it is reviewing the project ahead of a fresh application. A pair of applications were originally submitted to the council in January 2020 as part of a masterplan for the development of a 244-acre site between Penwortham and Lostock Hall. Taylor Wimpey and its partner Homes England had sought outline consent for an inital 1,100 homes, a local retail centre and a link road between the A582 Penwortham Way and the B5254 Leyland Road. The site overall is earmakred for 2,000 homes.
