Cllr Catrin Miles has previously identified Williams Row as a particular area of concern. “It’s not the people living in this street who are responsible for leaving this waste there,” she told colleagues. Cllr Miles revealed she had recently accompanied a county council officer on a town ‘walkabout’ to identify problem areas. “Several ideas in the pipeline include clear signage, liaising with takeaway businesses and commercial refuse-collectors and considering designated bins for problem areas,” she added. “ There is a pilot scheme on the go in Aberystwyth at present.” Cllr Yvonne O’Neill said she had noticed refuse bins ‘overflowing with rubbish’ in Pendre.
