Liston Hotel in Boscombe. Photo: Google Street View PLANS to demolish a “rather dilapidated” hotel in Boscombe and replace it with a block of flats have been recommended for refusal. The Liston Hotel scheme has won the support of the Boscombe Neighbourhood Forum and ward councillor Jane Kelly who said it would be “a very positive change”. Despite this, BCP Council planning officer Peter Burridge has recommended that permission be refused when the application is considered by its planning committee on Thursday. The application was submitted by developers Lauder Property Ltd and Dorset Homes Ltd at the start of last year so the owners of the hotel can retire.
