On a stinking hot Queensland morning, a farm worker is slouched inside a white ute outside the $4.1 million beachside holiday house of fallen financial wizard Lex Greensill.
The worker, wearing a blue-and-yellow shirt emblazoned with
Greensill Farming – the Bundaberg-based sweet-potato and sugar-cane enterprise of Lex and his brothers, is not in the mood to talk.
Still, he knows there is nobody inside the “Glass House”. That’s the swish three-storey home overlooking a pristine ocean and boasting its own kitchen teppanyaki plate and internal glass lifts.
